Erasmia Voukelatos

Erasmia Voukelatos, Canadian pianist of Greek descent, is active as a performer, educator, choral arranger and music director. Solo appearances have included Mozart's Concerto in A Major, K.488 with the Antara Ensemble, and Bach's D Minor Concerto with the Canadian ensemble Mercredi Musique. Erasmia’s love of chamber music inspired her work as Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the West-Park Chamber Society, attracting New York City audiences for her creative and engaging programming.
An educator for over 25 years, Erasmia is Director of Choral Music at Far Brook School in Short Hills, New Jersey, where she also curates a biennial fundraiser, Chamber Music & Chocolates.
She is in demand as a piano instructor and as a mentor to beginning teachers. Her ethnic heritage has fueled a life-long interest in multicultural arts and she is a regular workshop presenter on song and dance rituals of Greece and India for the Organization of American Kodaly Educators national and divisional conferences. Since 2002, Erasmia has been Assistant Director and Accompanist for Cantigas Women's Choir in New Jersey, and her choral arrangements of Greek folk songs are performed regularly by Greek and American choirs.
Erasmia holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance from The University of Western Ontario and Brooklyn College respectively, and an Associate Performance Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. Erasmia collaborates with her husband, violinist Ashley Horne, and their son Alexi, aspiring cellist and singer.
