A Tribute to Arturo Schomburg as part of the Schomburg Center’s Centennial Celebration.
This program will feature a panel discussion led by Dr. Vanessa Valdés, who is the author of the definitive biography Diasporic Blackness: The Life and Times of Arturo Alfonso Schomburg and musical performances. This program will also include a sneak preview of a new opera about Arturo Schomburg, commissioned by soprano Dr. Zuly Inirio.
