Rodrigo joined Mizuho Securities in 2018 to focus on the origination of debt capital market transactions across Latin America. He has over 18 years of experience in LatAm financing, including international and local DCM transactions in several currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, MXN) as well as loan syndications for clients across Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, among other countries in the region. His expertise ranges across a wide scope of industries and sectors, including corporates, sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns and multilaterals, having led transactions extending from plain vanilla to highly structured real estate, project and asset finance deals as well as multi-product acquisition financing advisory. Rodrigo has been based in NYC for over 13 years, and prior to joining Mizuho, he originated and executed loan and bond transactions for HSBC; he previously held roles in Mexico City for HSBC, Evercore Partners (f.k.a. Protego) and the Ministry of Finance. Rodrigo holds a BS in Economics from ITAM and is fluent in English and Spanish.
